Maintaining Customer Rating Master

The customer rating is an option that calculates AML associate risk rating of a customer based on the risk weightage given on three types of parameters - Business Intelligence risk (or KYC risk), Rule Violation risk, and Transaction Trend risk. To calculate business intelligent risk, SQL queries are mandatory. Ratings range from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

The customer rating is calculated based on the parameters added in the customer rating master. The two types of parameters are as follows:

Adding Customer Rating Details

Perform the following steps to add customer rating details.

To add customer rating details

  1. Access the Master module.

  2. On the navigation pane, click the Customer Rating Master link.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  3. Click the Insert link.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  4. Specify the following field details.

Field

Description

Text Parameter

Click this option if you want to add text parameter.

Range Parameter

Click this option if you want to add range parameter.

Customer Type

Select the customer type from the drop-down list.

Parameter Name

Type the name of the parameter. This is a mandatory field.

Description

Type the description of the parameter.

Rating

Select the rating on the scale of 1 to 10, from the drop down list. 10 is the highest risk factor.

Parameter Weight

Type the weight age of the parameter in percentage. This is a mandatory field.

Text Parameter - This section is available only if you have opted for Text Parameter.

View Name

The system displays the view name.

Column Name

Select the column name from the drop down list. This is a mandatory field.

Param. Value

Type the value of the parameter. This is a mandatory field.

Range Parameter - This section is available only if you have opted for Range Parameter.

Param. Value

Select the parameter value from the drop down list.

From Range

Type the initial value of the range. This is a mandatory field.

To Range

Type the concluding value of the range. This is a mandatory field.

SQL Query

Type the SQL query. This is a mandatory field.

  1. Click the Save button.
    A message about record successfully sent for authorization appears and after authorization the record gets added.
    Or…
    The system adds customer rating details to the list and a message about successful addition of customer rating details appears on the Customer Rating Master screen.

Modifying Customer Rating Details

Perform the following steps to modify customer rating details.

To modify customer rating details

  1. Access the Master module.

  2. On the navigation pane, click the Customer Rating Master link.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  3. Click the Edit link next to the parameter to be modified.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  4. Modify the field details as required.

  5. Click the Update button.
    A message about record successfully sent for authorization appears and after authorization the record gets updated.
    Or…
    The system updates customer rating details and a message about successful modification of customer rating details appears on the Customer Rating Master screen.

Adding Another Value/Range for the Existing Parameter

Perform the following steps to add another value or range for the existing parameter in the customer rating details.

To add another value/range for the existing parameter

  1. Access the Master module.

  2. On the navigation pane, click the Customer Rating Master link.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  3. Click the Add link next to the parameter, for which another value/range is to be added.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  4. Type the Param. Value if the parameter is a text parameter.
    Or
    Type the From Range and To Range values if the parameter is range parameter.

  5. Click the Save button.
    A message about record successfully sent for authorization appears and after authorization the record gets added.
    Or…
    The system adds another value/range and a message about successful addition of another value/range appears on the Customer Rating Master screen.

Viewing Customer Rating Details

Perform the following steps to view customer rating details.

To view customer rating details

  1. Access the Master module.

  2. On the navigation pane, click the Customer Rating Master link.
    The Customer Rating Master screen appears.

  3. View the details as required.
