The system enables you to create a rule.
To create a rule
On the navigation pane, click the
Create New Rule link.
The Create Rule screen appears.
Specify the following field details.

Name |
Type the rule name. This is a mandatory field. | |

Type the description of the rule. | |
Risk Factor |
Select the risk factor from the drop-down list on the scale of 1 to 10, the 1 being the lowest and the 10 being the highest risk factor. | |
Period |
Select the rule period from the drop-down list. For example, if you select Daily the rule is applied daily. This is a mandatory field. | |
Validity

Type the date in the dd-Mon-yyyy format, from when you want to apply the rule. For example, 26-Jun-2008. |
To

Type the date in the dd-Mon-yyyy format, till when you want to apply the rule. For example, 25-Jun-2009. | |
Group |
Select the group to which the rule should apply, from the drop-down list. This is a mandatory field. | |
Disable |
Select this check box to make the rule disable. | |
Rule Risk Severity |
Select the rule risk severity from the drop-down list. | |
SWIFT Online Yes/No |
Select this check box if SWIFT online option is available. | |
Left Entity

Select the entity from the drop-down list. This is a mandatory field. |
Sub Entity

When you select the entity from the First Entity drop-down list, all the sub entities are populated in this drop-down list. Select the appropriate sub entity from the drop-down list. This is a mandatory field. For example, if you want to form a rule that consider any account as suspicious if the balance is greater than 100000 dollars. Then the field selected would be Balance. | |
Operator |
Click the appropriate operator. This is a mandatory field. For example, if you want to form a rule that consider any account as suspicious if the balance is greater than 100000 dollars, you would click the greater than operator. | |
Right Entity

Value/Date (dd-Mon-yyyy) |
Type the value or date to form the right entity. The value specified should be in the same data type of the option selected from the Sub Entity drop-down list. Either Second Sub Entity or this field is mandatory. For example, if you want to form a rule that consider any account as suspicious if the balance is greater than 100000 dollars, you would type 100000. |
Pick Value

Click this link to select the value if the selected Sub Entity in the section Left Entity has any lookup values. | |
Second Sub Entity
|
If you want to compare two sub entities of the same first entity, instead of typing the value or date, select another sub entity to be compared with the sub entity selected from the Sub Entity drop-down list. Either Value Date or this field is mandatory. | |
Functions |
If you want to use the pre-defined function, instead of selecting Left Entity, Operator, and Right Entity then select the function from the drop-down list. A separate window appears with some parameters. Specify the value for the displayed parameters and click the Save button. The specified values appear on the Current Rule screen, in the Current Condition field. | |
Current Condition |
Whether you select Left Entity, Operator, and Right Entity or you use a pre-defined function, condition appears in this field. | |
Create Condition |
Click this button to create a condition. After you create a condition you cannot undo it. | |
Undo Condition |
Click this button before clicking the Create Condition button to clear the condition. You can start forming a condition all over again. | |
Assemble Conditions |
All the created conditions appear. You can create minimum one and maximum five conditions. If you have created more than one condition, you have to specify the relationship between them. | |
AND |
If all conditions are to be fulfilled use the AND relationship. Select all the conditions to be fulfilled, from the Assemble Conditions list and then click the AND button. | |
OR |
If any one condition is to be fulfilled use the OR relationship. Select the conditions out of which any one can be fulfilled, from the Assemble Conditions list and then click the OR button. | |
Rule String |
After creating condition(s) and defining the relationship (if required), the rule string appears. |
Click the Create
Rule button.
A message about record successfully sent for authorization appears
and after authorization the record
gets added.
Or…
The new rule gets added to the list with a new Rule ID and a message
about successful addition of rule appears on the View
Rules screen.
